Tax intelligence and fiscal data systems for developing economies

Maitras.ai is an independent research and advisory platform working on tax data analytics, AI-assisted revenue administration, and the measurement of economic activity that formal systems miss. Our work combines operational experience building fraud-detection systems for revenue authorities with published, replicable policy research.

All research papers published on Maitras.ai are freely accessible to the public. We do not charge for access, subscriptions, or downloads, and we do not generate revenue from these publications. They are provided to advance knowledge, encourage discussion, and support education and research.

Research grounded in deployed systems

Maitras.ai is built on operational experience, not only publication. Our founder — a data scientist with over two decades of experience in taxation and revenue analytics — has designed and delivered a production analytics system for tax fraud detection and anti-money-laundering screening, currently in use within the revenue department of a Pacific nation.
